1966 Mustang 2+2, Vintage legal road race car.
I bought this A code Mustang in April of 1994 and started the restoration in early 1997. It was ready to track in 2005. The car was completely disassembled and stripped to bare metal on a rotisserie. All the rusted sheet metal was removed and replaced with new sheet metal. Every nut and bolt was replaced. I painted the car to the original silver blue with PPG Delton BC/CC in 2002 and still looks great minus some “battle scars”.

The gauges are Stewart Warner and the temp and oil pressure gauges have adjustable warning lights to show if max temps or low oil pressure is happening (have had no problems so far).
Car was completely re-wired using an Autowire Comp 9 harness with new/modern fuse box. The fuse panel and small inverter for powering cell phones/recorders are mounted to the floor under the rear seat delete panel

The car was autocrossed and tracked from 2005 to 2012. In 2015 I did another smaller restoration to get it ready for vintage racing. It has raced vintage with HVR since 2017. The most current race was at Heartland Motorsports Park, May 5-7, 2023.
The engine was refreshed by Siebert Performance in Topeka, KS (Sept 2022). There are only 3 hours on the new motor and it has fresh VR1 30wt oil and Ford Racing HD filter after the May race weekend.
Current HVR (Heartland Vintage Racing) logbook and hard wired transponder (no yearly subscription costs) are included. I have a clean/clear Iowa title in hand.
There are many extras included with the sale of the car. MSD distributor, Rotors, pads, 11” drums. Toploader road race re-build kit, 3.70 ring & pinion. 4 – 12” Race Ramps, 2-way com package, car cover etc… Everything that I have goes with the car! All receipts, engine information, Toploader rebuild book and DVD, Dyno sheets, part numbers, track tire pressure sheets, etc... Loads of extra parts!
I’ve had so much fun with the car for almost 30 years. It’s time for the next owner to enjoy it! You can buy this car and take it to the track the next day!
I have a lot more pics upon request. Serious buyers only! Text first with your name and I'll get back to you. If you call it will just go to junk,
