1956 Mercury 2dr H/T ...Will TRADE !!

This item is a 1956 mercury monterey 2dr hardtop. A friend has owned the car and driven the car for the past three years. It is still tagged and insured. It has a V-8 engine- Y-block and a merc-o-matic transmission. The engine may or may not be original, but is runs like a sewing machine. The tranny shifts fine and the car was a blast to drive. It has a small tranny leak, I have bought seals for it to be installed if it ever gets any worse. The lights, turn signal, speedometer, horn, heater, dome light and glove box light all work. Pretty much everything except the gas gauge because it has an aftermarket tank and probably wasn't hooked back up. It has the original radio, but it just makes noise. The intererior on the car is pretty nice, Seats and headliner and dash are great, The carpet could be vacuumed but is still in good shape. The only real problem is one door panel has a spot around the window crank thanks to my friends little brother. The trunk and body are decent. The car must have been painted sometime back. It isn't checked or anything. I have never buffed it, but it would probably shine right up. I have the skirts to go with the car. Oh yea, the driver side door glass aquired a crack in the Wal-mart parking lot last summer, may have been heat. Atleast it is a flat piece and probably matches the ford, and also could use a new driver side interior door handle.The only things I have had to do to the car are, new battery, new chrome altenator, new cap-rotor-plugs-wires-condensor-points, new holley carb-4brl, new master cylinder-stops great, and a new fuel pump. Other than that the car was nice when I got it. I have had a lot of fun with this car. It is not perfect, but it always turned a lot of heads. It has been garage kept for many years now and I hope it's new home will continue to maintain this old ride. I will do whatever I can to help get this car picked up or delivered. Just let me know. I will trade this car for Harleys, Older StreetRods,Camaro, ect
