1964 SAVOY PLYMOUTH

This is a very clean & well perpared original factory, light weight acid dipped super stock race car, updated in 2004 at Gary Ball's Shop, with winning record NSS/BA. The car is powered by a 1963 Max-Wedge Stage III, professionally built engine that has been bored, .0600 over for total of 439 C.I.,620 RPM'S. The block,crank, rods, heads,& intakes are genuine max-wedge pieces & carburators are new John Shaul 750CM. The crankshaft is a Lunati .750 lift roller tappet cam with Luniti roller lifters and Smith Borthers heavy wall push rods. Pistons are Ross forged 13.50:1, the 727 manual shift reverse pattern transmission and nine-inch "J" 4800 stall converter in a Turbo-Action unit built by Frank Lupo, Dymanics Transmission in Newark, Delaware. Shifter is a Turbo-Astion, Ignition is MSD electronic with a MSD7AL-2 ignition and MSD coil with electric water pump & fan. The 9" ford rear end has 4.56 Moser gear & spool with Moser axle lattter bar set up. A full roll cage and frame connnector stiffens up the bodY for consistent launches. The car has built in SW Gauges & auto meter tack w/shift light. The car runs consistent low 10/70 to over 128 and has potential to go even quicker. Best ET this year was a 10/80 @128MOH. There is less than 5 passes on tHe engine, transmission and converter since they were freshened in April 2006. The car has original Super Stock Dodge A-100 Van Seats from the factory wIth total rust free body. New racing tires front & rear, 29.5 X 10.5 X 30" Hoosier Radial Light Weights. Car is equipped with front & rear bumper, factory light weight glass, in all doors and windshield, and complete painless wiring installed in 2005 with new steel front bumper. This is a factory super stock car and was featured on cover of Mopar Muscle Magazine in May & June 2002.
